Greg Reynolds 2002 Gem “Rising Star” honoree;

The Ganzenmuller Electrical Marketing Award, or GEM Award, was established in honor of George Ganzenmuller, who was chief editor of Electrical Wholesaling magazine for more than 30 years until his death in 1986.

George was a man whose integrity, fairness and industry knowledge won the respect of the entire electrical industry for nearly four decades. Since 1989, Electrical Wholesaling magazine has awarded the GEM Award to honor those independent manufacturers' reps who exhibit these same leadership qualities. A companion award, the GEM Rising Star Award, recognizes those independent reps whose early careers and industry contributions show promise of leadership.

2004 – Greg Reynolds Earns CPMR designation;

The community of professional manufacturers’ representatives determined over 15 years ago that a professional designation was warranted to identify those business professionals within that community who have reached a measurable level of knowledge and practice. In addition, a professional designation established an international network of colleagues who share a common body of knowledge and adherence to a Code of Ethics that extends beyond individual industry boundaries to distinctive business management practice for the profession. The Certified Professional Manufacturers Representative (CPMR) designation is the exclusive mark identifying an individual, a business person, as one who has achieved that knowledge. To earn the CPMR designation an agency owner/manager must attend 3 annual one week sessions of a residential program on a university campus. The curriculum is, by design, business management oriented. The courses cover specific subjects for owners and managers of firms that provide outsourced field sales. Following each annual session the participants must pass a four hour examination. Upon completion of all 3 annual sessions and passing all 3 exams the candidate has earned the right to use the designation CPMR.The designee has the right to continue and maintain the CPMR designation with ten hours of continuing business education credits that are required and monitored on a yearly basis. Non compliance serves as reason for forfeiture of the designation
